India seems to do no wrong as they won a useful toss and elected to bat hoping to emulate the feat of the last test.
Rahul dravid almost got his wish as the openers Karthik and Jaffar put a good opening stand until Jaffer fell for the shot ball trap set by Anderson. But Karthik continues to impress with his positive attitude and tempremant which almost helped him to a century but as luck would have it he was given out what looked like a doubtful decision by Howell
Karthik later admitted that he did nick the ball.
But before karthik was out he put up a useful partnership with dravid who again failed to get a big score thanks to beautiful delivery by Anderson which could be the ball of the match !
Tendulkar looked really scratchy but Ganguly wasn't, who went on to make 37 thanks to some awesome shots. Ganguly must be cursing the luck when he was a victim again of a poor decision.
Now that India is 300 + thanks to a near ton by karthik. India much look to make a huge score in excess of 500 now that Dhoni yet to come India could look get the runs in jiffy and put England to bat before tea.
Zaheer khan by must rubbing his hands in excitement as he would be itching to have a go at the england line up.
